These collars are hand made to order using high quality polyester webbing and triple stitched using UV resistant nylon thread for extra strength and durability to ensure your pupper stays by your side. Collars have been field tested for reliability and have been given the paws up from all our models. High-quality metal D-rings are used with welded joint that resists deformation and has a maximum strength of approximately 150kg.

Please keep in mand that martingale collars should NOT be worn all the time. Because of the martingale's tightening function, they can become a choking hazard if left on unattended dogs. If you always wish to keep tags on your dog, we recommend also using one of our standard collars that fits more loosely.

As all the orders are custom made, please allow up to 5 days for your order to be completed before being shipped. Please allow up to 2cm difference in sizing as all are handmade by a human instead of factory made by a machine.

We recommend to hand wash all products in cold water without the use of harsh chemicals to avoid discolouration and potential damage occurring. Please do not tumble dry, iron, soak for long periods or use bleach.

King Prick 38mm Martingale Collar

  • Martingale collars, also called no-slip or limited-slip collars, are a type of dog collar that provides more control than a standard flat collar and prevent dogs from backing or slipping out. They look like a flat collar, but about 1/3 of the length of the collar is made from chain instead of fabric.

The collar works by tightening when the dog pulls on the leash. Tension on the leash causes the chain to tighten, which in turn pulls the polyester webbing tighter—but not too tight! Martingale collars are adjustable and should not tighten past the width of the dog’s neck. They offer comfortable security without harming your dog.

  • Please do not measure your dog’s current collar. Use a tape measure to measure around the base of your dog’s skull just behind the ears. This measurement is the same as the collar when it’s fully tightened or closed and allows enough space for 2 fingers to fit comfortably under the tape measure. If in doubt feel free to message me for advice.
